Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan emerged from a busy field of competitors to win the 2026 Truist Championship golf tournament at Quail Hollow on Sunday.
Reitan was part of a four-way tie late in Sunday’s fourth and final round before the 28-year-old took his first PGA Tour victory with a strong closing surge.
He birdied No. 14 and No. 15 and parred the last three holes to protect his lead and took a two-shot victory.

The Washington Wizards won the NBA lottery on Sunday with the Charlotte Hornets remaining in their No. 14 spot before the lottery.
Charlotte entered the lottery with a 97.6 percent chance to land the 14th selection. Charlotte owns two picks in the first round as the Hornets also have the No. 18 pick.
“It allows us to be flexible,” Hornets general manager Jeff Peterson. “It adds some optionality in terms of being able to trade up, trade back, move out. It’s always good to have options. Even if we stay put, we’re confident that we’ll get two really good players there.”
The first round of the 2026 NBA Draft will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on ABC/ESPN. The second round will be held on Wednesday, June 24 at 8 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The Rutherford County Sports Hall Of Fame (RCSHOF), presented by Hardin’s Drug, in conjunction with Golf Sponsors Forest City Honda and Chick-fil-A of Forest City, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 T. Max Champion Memorial Golf Tournament.
The tournament will be held on Friday, July 31 at the Apple Vally Golf Course in Lake Luke, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Registration fee is $100.00 per player or $400.00 for a team of four and covers the green fee, cart usage and lunch.
First prize for Gross and Net Winners is $600.00 per team. Other prizes will be awarded based on the number of entries. Proceeds from the event go to support the RCSHOF Scholarship Fund and registration deadline is July 21.
