The Conference Carolinas baseball tournament returns to Gastonia’s CaroMont Health Park and Sims Legion Park for a fourth straight season and Belmont Abbey is one of the top seeds in the event.
North Greenville won the regular season title and the top seed for the tournament, which begins on Wednesday.

The regular season title is sixth for North Greenville in league history and fourth in the last five years.
The Trailblazers finished with a KPI of 0.218, going 28-5 in league contests and 42-8 overall. Francis Marion University earned the second seed with a KPI of .160. the Patriots own a league mark of 27-6, going 40-10 overall.
Belmont Abbey College is the third seed with a 0.137 KPI.
The Crusaders (36-12, 26-7) also enter the tournament coming off a historic win for head coach Chris Anderson.
Anderson, in his 13th year as Abbey head coach, has a 400-248-2 record that is the winningest in any sport in school history.

The Rutherford County Sports Hall Of Fame (RCSHOF), presented by Hardin’s Drug, in conjunction with Golf Sponsors Forest City Honda and Chick-fil-A of Forest City, is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 T. Max Champion Memorial Golf Tournament.
The tournament will be held on Friday, July 31 at the Apple Vally Golf Course in Lake Luke, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Registration fee is $100.00 per player or $400.00 for a team of four and covers the green fee, cart usage and lunch.
First prize for Gross and Net Winners is $600.00 per team. Other prizes will be awarded based on the number of entries. Proceeds from the event go to support the RCSHOF Scholarship Fund and registration deadline is July 21.
