Forestview High’s girls soccer team became the all-time winner of the Gaston Cup tournament last Saturday with a 2-0 championship game victory over Newton-Conover.
The Jaguars have won eight championships in 11 title game appearances since the tournament began in 1999.
Forestview’s Ava Cabe was named tournament MVP for coach Madison Mathis’ team, which had Cabe, Katlina Carter and Ariene Catindig on the all-tournament team.
Ashbrook goalkeeper Eimy Vicente had 36 saves to earn the Golden Glove Award and Cramer’s Abi Bourque had 8 goals for Cramer to earn the Gold Boot Award.
