Shelby’s Coleman Walker has been named director of player personnel at Washington State University.
Walker, a 2018 Shelby High graduate, previously worked at N.C. State and Michigan before joining the Cougars’ football staff.
Shelby High’s head student equipment manager from 2014 to 2018 and athletic director intern from 2017 to 2018, earned his bachelor of science in sport management from N.C. State in 2023 and will got his Master’s degree in Sport Management later this year.
Also at N.C. State, Walker served as student equipment manager (2018-21), recruiting and player personnel intern (2022-23) and recruiting graduate assistant (2023-24).
He was hired as University of Michigan recruiting analyst in June 2024 before being hired away by new Washington State coach Jimmy Rogers.
