Tuesday’s roundup: South Point, Highland Tech remain unbeaten in volleyball action

A look at the local sports roundup for Tuesday, November 24:

High school volleyball
South Point 3, East Rutherford 0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-11): The Red Raiders (3-0, 2-0) stayed unbeaten in the Southwestern 2A Conference behind Anna Dunbar (15 kills), Bri Hannon (4 Aces), Emily Revels (29 Assists, 3 Aces) and Kailee McAlister (11 Digs).
East Rutherford won the JV match 2-0 as the Red Raiders fell to 1-2, 0-2.

Highland Tech 3, Piedmont Community Charter 1 (16-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-17): The Rams remained unbeaten (4-0) and are atop the Southern Piedmont 1A Conference standings.

Bandys 3, East Lincoln 2

Lincoln Charter 3, Cherryville 0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-9)

East Lincoln 3, North Lincoln 0 (25-8, 25-22, 25-21 – on Monday): Jordan Gromlich (15 kills, 4 solo blocks, 10 block assists), Kaylee Spees (22 digs, 3 aces), Peyton Crates (20 assists) and Katie Cook (18 assists) led East Lincoln.
North Lincoln won the JV match 25-23 and 25-21.

Kings Mountain 3, Hunter Huss 0 (25-11, 25-5, 25-7 – on Monday): Aaliyah Byers (8 kills, 16 service points), Ashlyn Wood (17 assists, 5 service points), Emma Goff (4 kills, 16 service points), Paige Bagwell (9 assists, 13 service points) and Meile Songaila (7 kills) led Kings Mountain (3-0).
