Pro basketball
Former Forestview High and Gaston Day standout Nate Hinton scored his first NBA points in Saturday night’s Dallas Mavericks’ loss to the Houston Rockets.
A 2018 Gaston Day graduate, Hinton scored five points on two of seven field goal shooting (zero of two on 3-pointers) and one of two free throw shooting in seven minutes of action.
For the season, the undrafted rookie out of the University of Houston is averaging 1.0 points, 0.2 steals and 0.2 blocks in five games.
