Lincoln Charter’s boys basketball team improved to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in the Southern Piedmont 1A Conference with a 90-32 home win over Bessemer City.

The Eagles, who hosts Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy on Tuesday, had a balanced attack led by Troy Fulton (23 points, 7 of 8 3-pointers), Sam Cogan (19 points, 5 assists, 8 rebounds), Marcus Farley (10 points), Shiven Patel (9 points), Carter Seitz (7 points, 15 rebounds) and Crichton Palmer (6 points, 4 assists).

West Cabarrus 73, Ashbrook 58: First-year Wolverines head coach Jabarr Adams, a former Ashbrook player and assistant coach, led his team to the non-conference victory.

Kings Mountain 80, Cramer 54: Isaiah Tate (22 points) led Kings Mountain (7-1), which hosts North Gaston on Tuesday. Cramer (0-8), which visits Crest on Tuesday, was led by Mason Craig (12 points), Jacob Joyner (9 points, 3 steals) and Mike Downey (8 points, 4 rebounds).
Cramer won the JV game 42-38 to improve to 5-3 behind Isaiah Foster (16 points, 2 assists, 4 steals), Taelan Whitley (6 points, 17 rebounds, 5 blocks) and Trevor Gregg (9 points, 4 rebounds).

Crest 54, Forestview 49: The visiting Chargers (7-1, 7-0) stayed unbeaten in Big South 3A Conference play. Forestview, which hosts Ashbrook on Tuesday, was led by Travian Neely (14 points), Jamarion Dawkins (10 points), Jaycob Neely 7 points) and Daris Byers (7 points).

Mountain Island Charter 68, Carolina International 61

Huss 64, North Gaston 55: J.J. Moore’s 14 points led Huss. Dylan Stewart (14 points), Alex Quinn (12 points) and Bryson Walker (8 points) led North Gaston (2-6), which visits Kings Mountain on Tuesday.

Kings Mountain 58, Cramer 24: The Mountaineers (5-1, 4-1), who host North Gaston on Tuesday, were led by Saniya Wilson (22 points, 4 rebounds, 6 steals, 4 assists), Khalia King (19 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals) and Kennedy Barnes (10 points, 4 rebounds). Ranija Hamilton had 11 points and Dasia Harris eight for Cramer (1-5, 0-5), which visits Crest on Tuesday.

College men’s basketball
Charlotte 63, Florida International 55 (OT): Jahmir Young (25 points, 10 rebounds), Marvin Cannon (eight points, 10 rebounds), Jhery Matos (9 points, 7 rebounds), Milos Supica (8 points, 7 rebounds) and Jordan Shepherd (8 points, 5 rebounds) as the 49ers (8-7, 4-3) knocked over the visiting Panthers in the Conference USA game. Charlotte hosts FIU again on Saturday at 4 p.m.

High Point 59, Gardner-Webb 55: Visiting High Point (5-9, 3-6) stopped Gardner-Webb’s three-game winning streak and dropped the Runnin’ Bulldogs to 6-10, 5-6. Jaheam Cornwell led Gardner-Webb with 16 points.

College women’s basketball
Western Kentucky 100, Charlotte 99 (3 OT): In a game that matched the longest in school history, Octavis Jett-Wilson (28 points, 11 rebounds) led the visiting 49ers (5-5, 4-1), who visit Conference USA rival Western Kentucky on Saturday at 5 p.m.
