Former Forestview and Gaston Day standout Nate Hinton has a new NBA team.
Hinton signed a contract with the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. Indiana’s new head coach is Hinton’s former Dallas Mavericks’ coach Rick Carlisle.
A 2018 Gaston Day graduate who was an undrafted free agent signee out of the University of Houston with Dallas, Hinton averaged 2.0 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists in 21 games last season for the Mavericks.
Hinton didn’t play in Dallas’ four games to three first round playoff loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Former Crest High standout Lannden Zanders’ 2021 football season at Clemson is over.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney announced during his Monday night radio show that Zanders injured his shoulder in Saturday’s 10-3 loss to Georgia and will miss the rest of the season.

Zanders first injured his shoulder during last season’s 47-40 double-overtime regular season loss at Notre Dame and missed two games.
A 2019 Crest High gradaute, Zanders has made 55 tackles in 25 career games for the Tigers.
