Shelby’s Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium will begins hosting duties for the American Legion World Series for the 13th time on Thursday.
Shelby gained the ALWS for the first time in 2008.
Then after the national American Legion office pursued a permanent host, Shelby was granted the right to host the event in 2011. In 2018, the American Legion National Executive Committee granted Shelby as host in perpetuity.
