East Lincoln High senior Keandre Walker announced his commitment to play for the University of Virginia on Tuesday.

A 6-foot-3, 180-pounder, Walker is rated a 3-star cornerback by 247sports.com. Virginia first offered Walker on June 16 and he visited the Charlottesville, Va., campus on June 19.

He chose the Cavaliers over other schools like Air Force, Army, James Madison, Richmond, William & Mary, Ohio U. and Miami (Ohio).

At East Lincoln, Walker plays football and basketball and intercepted five passes in 11 games last fall for the Mustangs.
