Hornets update: NBA insider Marc Stein reported on Monday that rival front offices are expecting the Charlotte Hornets to re-sign Miles Bridges.
Bridges, who will be suspended for the first 10 games of next season, did not play this past season year after being charged with felony domestic abuse following a June 2022 incident.
Charlotte has a June 29 deadline to make Bridges a $7.7 million qualifying offer that will make him a restricted free agent. Stein reported that an indication of Bridges’ possible intentions is an online photo he recently posted of him wearing Hornets gear during a workout.
Bridges had been expected to be a top 2022 free agent before the incident after he had the best season of his four-year career; He averaged 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 80 games for the Hornets.
