Former Forestview High and Gaston Day School standout Nate Hinton’s double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds Wednesday night led the Cleveland Charge into the semifinals of the NBA G League playoff on Friday.

Hinton, a 2018 Gaston Day graduate, and the No. 5 seed Charge defeated the No. 4 Maine Celtics 113-100 on Wednesday and will face the No. 1 seeded Long Island Nets in a nationally-televised game on Friday at noon on ESPN2.

A third-year G League who has 23 games of NBA experience from the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, Hinton averaged 12.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 27 starts for the Charge this season. The Charge is an affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
