Former North Gaston High standout Tyler Bradley recently was named NCAA Division II national player of the week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on March 8.

A 2018 North Gaston graduate who helped Caldwell Tech to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III World Series last season, Bradley batted .500 with a double, five home runs, seven runs scored, two stolen bases and 16 RBIs as the Wasps went 3-1 that included two wins over North Gaston.
He is believed to be the first Emory & Henry baseball player to have been named national player of the week.
Bradley, an outfielder, is currently hitting .300 with six home runs and 28 RBIs in 26 games for the Wasps (8-19, 2-7), who host Coker in a three-game South Atlantic Conference weekend home series.
