All-Conference Carolinas: Belmont Abbey had seven all-league picks – four for the men and three for the women – in selections announced on Wednesday.
For the men, Sean Halloran and Chandler Baker were named to the second team with Quest Aldridge and Mario Lacy, Jr., third team picks. The four players are the Crusaders’ top scorers – Halloran averages 14.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, Aldridge 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists, Baker 13.2 points and Lacy posts 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds.
For the women, Brittany Autry was first team, Jo Snow second team and Alexis Schulz third team. Autry averaged 16.4 points per game, Snow 14.4 points and Schulz 10.3.

Charlotte 60, Middle Tennessee 56: The 49ers closed out its 2021-22 home schedule with a over the Conference USA East Division champion as Jahmir Young had 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Pro basketball
The Charlotte Hornets welcomed new addition Isaiah Thomas and went out and recorded one of their more impressive victories in a 119-98 win at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Charlotte (31-33) was led by Terry Rozier (29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists), Kelly Oubre (19 points), Miles Bridges (15 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists), P.J. Washington (12 points), Montrezl Harrell (11 points, 9 rebounds) and Mason Plumlee (7 points, 8 rebounds) with Thomas coming off the bench for 10 points, five rebounds and three assists in 14 minutes.
