Current Maryland co-offensive coordinator Mike Miller will reportedly be returning to Charlotte to become Charlotte 49ers’ offensive coordinator, quarterback coach and play-caller under new coach Francis “Biff” Poggi.
Poggi was hired as Charlotte’s new head football coach last week. Though he’s remaining associate head coach at Michigan until the end of the season, Poggi is recruiting players for the 49ers and hiring his coaching staff.
Miller, offensive coordinator and quarterback coach at Charlotte Christian High School in 2016, is in his fourth season at Maryland and previously coached at his college alma mater UAB (2014), Clemson (2015) and Alabama (2017-18).
Also on Tuesday, former Huss standout Tony Davis announced on twitter that he will be leaving Duke and seeking to complete his college football career as a graduate transfer.
A 2019 Huss graduate, Davis has been on the Duke roster for four years and had 10 tackles in six games this past season as the Blue Devils went 8-4 overall and 5-3 in the ACC.
