West Lincoln advanced to Wednesday’s N.C. Class 2A regional finals with a pair of wins in the first two rounds of the state playoffs on Monday.

After knocking off Surry Central in the opening round, the Rebels improved to 19-3 with a 42-33 victory over host R-S Central.

On Wednesday, West Lincoln needs two wins to advance to Saturday’s state championship match at the Greensboro Coliseum Field House.

The Rebels have won state titles in 2000, 2015, 2018 and 2019.
