By Richard Walker
Former Piedmont Community Charter and Kings Mountain High standout Adrian Delph was named Sun Belt Conference basketball player of the week for the second time of his career on Tuesday.

Delph, a 2018 Kings Mountain High graduate, was honored after leading Appalachian State to wins over Coastal Carolina last week.
Honored previously in the 2020-21 season, Delph averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the two wins.
Earlier this season, Delph surpassed the 1,000-point career milestone and is averaging 19.8 points in league contests, which ranks third in the Sun Belt Conference.
